Yellow-Tie's purpose is to eliminate entrepreneurial loneliness by establishing a culture of connecting and camaraderie -- even to the point of coopetition -- throughout an entire business community.

Getting Connected

Yellow-Tie is a non-profit association run by entrepreneurial volunteers who believe in the entrepreneurial spirit and have been stung by the pangs of loneliness that entrepreneurship often brings.

• We believe in joining forces with other entrepreneurs.
• We believe in sharing openly.
  
• We believe in enough structure to succeed, but not so much that the very spirit of entrepreneurship is handcuffed.
• We believe in giving without keeping score.
• We believe it's better to trust people to live up to their commitments than to measure their involvement and force them out if they don't meet some arbitrary standard.
• We believe that before you can expect to extract value from a relationship you should contribute value to that relationship.
• We believe that when you meet someone you should extend a hand and some assistance, not a brochure and a prospecting pitch.

Simple: Our handshakes events are like the water cooler for entrepreneurs. Members and nonmembers can meet new people, build important relationships, share ideas, laugh, play and have fun by attending the open-to-the-public events orchestrated by chapter leaders and members.

More Involved: Our Business-Building Alliances are like having a board of directors. Members who have similar business-building goals, who agree to collaborate and who believe in giving can begin to realize the benefits of connecting by joining forces in a Yellow-Tie Business-Building Alliance.

Challenging: Our Skills-Enhancement Groups are similar to the training rooms at most companies. Members who are willing to help one another learn and perfect specific skills, such as speaking, coaching, writing or connecting, may grow together by participating in one or more Yellow-Tie Skills-Enhancement Groups.

Personally Rewarding: Directors of Yellow-Tie Groups can receive the benefits of "leadership giving," by starting and leading Business-Building Alliances or Skills-Enhancement Groups in their areas.

The Connector Mindset: True connector-minded entrepreneurs who believe in giving at a visceral level, and understand that stratospheric success happens only when you give without keeping score, can contact the international board of directors about starting an entire chapter in their metro areas.
